Free Uno -- With Possible Overage!!

Check out your stores selection of Uno card games the next time you have an extra minute or two to kill - there is a $5 coupon inside specially marked packs that doesn't expire until the end of June and is good on the following Mattel Card games: Skip-Bo, Pictionary, Whac-a-mole, Blink and Mad Gab AS WELL AS the Thomas the Tank version of Uno, Toy Story Uno and regular 'ol uno.
.

Now, the coupon IS INSIDE THE PLASTIC WRAP around the top deck -- it's yellow and the barcode will be facing you -- but that doesn't mean that some people won't take a q and then ditch the deck. (The top of the box should have one of those heavy duty tape circles on top - I'd move on if that looked even remotely broken.) ((I'd also open the pack to make sure the coupon is in there even if the tape were intact, but I'm just that person.))

I'm not sure about places other than Tar-get BUT my stores (I have about 7 that I frequent) sell the game for $4.92 right up to $5 even. I've already purchased a game, priced at $4.94, with a coupon and the "wonderful" pos system paused the transaction and gave the cashier a screen that said something to the effect of "if the item listed on the coupon is in the transaction proceed with check out" (so, in layman's terms "just push the 'OK' key and move on silly") so you should NOT have ANY problems with this one, folks! (I say should because there is always a chance that you'll get that one cashier who hates coupons and couponers OR the one who doesn't realize that the second screen has popped up and will go to scan six more of your coupons before they realize that everything has gone to hell.)

ONE MORE THING ...

You could roll this offer - buying pack 1, then freeing the q to buy marked deck two using the coupon from 1, then buying deck 3 with the coupon from 2 and so on and so on; but then again how many decks of uno do you need? (I would think like, 4, max - one to play with, one as a spare, one for Grandma's house and then one to maybe decorate with - but then again we all saw that "Extreme Couponers" special. :-p)

Ok. That's all from me for now -- I PROMISE I'll get more *coupon fired up!* once more of this stupid wedding gets planned and my current stock starts to dry up.

Until next time, have a great day!!!

Target to Start Catalina Promos!!!

AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!

Have you ever seen one of those segments on the news where some "coupon mom" (or dad) is at a grocery store and walks out the door with, like, 3 carts FULL of groceries for a nickel? Catalina's (the coupons that pop out of a receipt-like machine at check out) are a big part behind the magic to becoming a coupon queen and I'm SOOOOOO EXCITED to share with you what I got tonight when I went shopping at Target - THIS CAT (the "coupon" lexicon or nickname of "Catalina") explaining a SUPER PROMOTION where when you buy the items necessary/listed, you'll get a Catalina "thank you" from the manufacturer of the products in the form of MONEY OFF YOUR NEXT SHOPPING TRIP.

It's exactly like "Register Rewards" from Walgreens or CVS' "Extra Bucks", only these will be at TARGET!!!!

So, basically, buy the items needed (with coupons, of course), get the Cat for $$ off your next trip, SPEND it before it expires and the amount listed on your "thank you" cat will come off of your next shopping trip, regardless of what you buy!!!

Since the Target Cat program is still in its infancy, I'm going to assume that standard Kroger/Tom Thumb/CVS/Walgreens rules apply here in that you can only get one per transaction (so if you need to buy 5 items to get a cat for "$X off your next trip", don't buy 10 or 15 of those items because you will only get 1 Catalina; instead break your cart up into multiple transactions to get multiple cats. We'll also all have to learn as we go when it comes to "rolling" the cats, but for now I'm just too excited for words!!)

So for now, the only promotion I know about is the one listed on this tape in front of me BUT it reads "Buy Nature Valley Granola Bars between 10/4 and 10/31 and Save Up To $3.50 on a FUTURE TRIP with coupon." And then the totals are if you buy three (3) boxes, you'll get $1.50 coupon, buy four (4) and get a $2.50 q and lastly buy five (5) and get a $3.50 coupon off of your next shopping trip.

EXCITEMENT!!!

Safeway Coupon Booklet = Free Trial Size

I ran to Tom Thumb (the Dallas division of Safeway) to "work a deal" and found these coupon booklets:

The "May 2010" on the front has me thinking that the stores will get new ones in soon for June so I didn't feel bad in taking 10 when I saw a display on every aisle and end cap stuffed with the booklets.

Why so many? They're all manufacturer's coupons and one of them is for "$1 off St. Ives Lotion" that doesn't exclude trial/travel sizes - so free St. Ives at Target/Walmart/any other place that carries the travel size!

I wouldn't suggest making a special out-of-the-way trip to your store (Safeway, Vons, Dominick's, Genuardi's, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Pavilions or Carrs) to find these guys, but if you do have an extra 5 minutes and are in the neighborhood, then go for it. (I approve.)

Other Coupons included:

~ $1.50 off any size Biz Stain Fighter Powder (exp 8/31)

~ $1.00 off any OxiClean MaxForce Product (exp 5/31)

~ $1.00 off any Arm & Hammer Power Gel Detergent (ex 5/31)

~ $1.00 off any two Kleenex Facial Tissues (does exclude 110 ct. boxes but does NOT exclude the pocket packs) (ex 5/30)

~ $2 off any two GSK products (then lists aquafresh, abreva, polident, poligrip, sensodyne, etc.) (ex 6/30)

~ $.50 Golgate ProClinical (4.0 or higher) (ex 6/30)

~ $.50 Speed Stick or Lady Speed Stick (excludes .5 oz) (ex 6/30)

~ $.55 Right Guard Product (does NOT exclude trial size) (ex 12/31)

~ $1.50 Any Neutrogena Product (excludes cosmetics, suncare and trial) (ex 6/30)

~ $2.00 Any Nexxus Dualiste Hair Care Product (ex 6/30)

~ $2.00 off any Blink Tears Eye Drops (ex 12/31)

~ $2.00 off any Complete Brand Contact Solution (12oz +) (ex 12/31)

~ $1.00 and Refresh Brand Product (eye drops and contact solution) (ex 5/30)

~ $.55 on any Nexcare Product (ex 5/31)

~ $2.00 on any one Citrucel, Os-Cal or Ecotrin Product (ex 5/31)

~ $2.00 off wyb Clorox Bleach AND Clorox 2 Stain Fighter and Color Booster (ex 5/30)

~ $.75 Jonny Cat cat litter (ex 11/30)

~ $2.00 off any Coppertone Product (6 oz or larger) (ex 12/31)

~ $1.00 off any two Scotch-Brite scrub sponges, scour pads, dishwand or dishwand refills. (ex 6/30)

Again, they aren't all that great - but if you're driving home from work or have some time to kill before getting the kids, it might be worth it. (Also, those Coppertone coupons don't expire until the end of the year - HOLD ON TO THOSE for all the clearance sun screen that you know you'll see come August.)

Then, head over here and fill out this brief survey (14 questions!) by the 12th and you'll be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card (big whoop) BUT you'll also get an email for a *free 20 oz smoothie! November Monthly Gifts

Sorry about the title, I'm trying to work on a better pun, I promise. But have you seen all the coupons in the latest issues of your favorite glossy?

Sure, we all know about All You, the magazine that sells exclusively at Walmart (which in my opinion is really the only reason to go there) or online and is FILLED with coupons, but have you started to notice how many *actual* magazines are also starting to carry coupons and savings cards these days? (*I really don't mean to offend anyone by discrediting All You ... but it is very strange to me that all of the articles are the same as what you can find in Woman's Day or Martha Stewart, and when you go to cut a coupon out, you also take a part of the article from the back-of-the-page with you, leaving the article un-readable. Shouldn't they lay out their ad-space a little better?)

Anyway, here's what I've found - what about you?

Nov. Rachel Ray - purchased off the news-stand.

  • Free $25 gift card at the Container Store when you purchase *$100 in gift cards; offer available in stores and online, starts Oct 23rd and ends Dec 24th; found on page 157. (*you have to buy $100 in gift cards but it doesn't all have to be on one card. Also, if you're like me and shop there all the time, then buy a $100 card, KEEP IT FOR YOURSELF, get the $25 and gift that to someone ... or also keep it for yourself.)

All expire on Dec 21. and should all probably be used together as to not have to purchase multiple copies of the magazine. Also, all are coupons for the particpating products in the Real Simple Holiday Rewards Rebate. (Question - what if you already subscribe to Real Simple? What if you've already bought a current copy? Answer(s) - buy one for a friend who you think may really like the mag OR the friend who always borrows yours but never returns it. RS also produces several special publications throughout the year that you can find on most Magazine Stands (think in the book dept, not at the register) like "Real Simple: Weddings" or "Real Simple: Family" and "Real Simple: Cooking". They are more expensive, like, $12, BUT are FULL of tips, tricks and GREAT ideas that you look at and go "I can do that." and the more common "Why didn't I think of that?" Don't forget to use the "all you" coupons.com coupon when you purchase your copy!)
